The project is called OriHime. Its main goal is to help people with disabilities work and be less lonely. OriLab, a robotics company, started this project because they wanted to give people who have difficulty leaving their homes a way to connect with others and have a job. To solve this problem, they created a robot that people can control remotely and opened a cafe where the robots are the waiters. For example, bedridden people can control a robot from their hospital bed to serve customers in the cafe. This helps the community by giving people with disabilities jobs and allowing them to interact with others. This project is important because it helps people who often feel isolated and excluded. It also connects to my field of study, management, because it demonstrates innovative organizational practices and human resource management. OriHime shows how to effectively manage a diverse workforce, including employees with disabilities who work remotely. It highlights the importance of creating an inclusive work environment and adapting to the changing needs of the workforce. This project offers valuable lessons in leadership, motivation, and creating a positive organizational culture that values the contributions of all its members. This project is important to me personally because I believe in creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and has the opportunity to succeed. OriHime is an inspiring example of how businesses can use technology to promote social good and create a more inclusive and equitable society.

The project is called "Return the Ocean Action 1095." Its main goal is to clean Taiwan's coastlines and repurpose marine waste into products within 1,095 days (three years). CommonWealth Magazine started this project because they wanted to address the growing issue of ocean pollution and promote environmental sustainability.

To solve this problem, they mobilized businesses, NGOs, and volunteers across Taiwan to participate in beach cleanups and transform collected waste into products. For example, they recycled over 60,000 PET bottles to create 10,000 pairs of eco-friendly "National Blue and White Sustainable Slippers." This helps the community by reducing ocean waste, raising awareness of marine conservation, and encouraging sustainable consumption.

This project is important because it highlights the need for better marine conservation policies and addresses the critical issue of declining fish stocks in Taiwan’s waters. It also connects to my field of study, business management, because it demonstrates how sustainable practices can be integrated into business models to achieve both ecological and economic benefits. This project is important to me personally because it aligns with my interest in ocean conservation and highlights the impact of collective action in protecting marine ecosystems.
